Frequently Asked Questions

We are happy to answer any other questions you may have by reaching out to us at admin@lifeandhopecounseling.com

We provide testing and assessments; individual counseling; premarital counseling; marital and relationship counseling; therapy for children, adolescents, & adults; substance abuse evaluations; telehealth (video visits), and in-person sessions.

A typical 55-minute session costs $120–$150, and a sliding scale may be available according to need. We’re in-network with Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, and many others. If your plan is out of network, you can pay and submit receipts for reimbursement. We accept cash, credit or debit cards, FSA, and HSA.

We help people with relationships challenges, ADHD, anxiety, bullying, depression, grief & loss, pre- and post-natal mental health, LGBTQ+ concerns, parenting challenges, PTSD, sexual abuse and trauma, and faith-based challenges.

All of our counselors hold master’s degrees. Our licensed clinicians are licensed in Florida as Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW). We also have several clinicians who are working as Registered Interns until they are officially licensed. All of our clinicians use  evidence-based methods to help our clients with a wide range of challenges.

You might want counseling if you feel sad or worried most days; are having trouble at school, work, or home; are struggling with family, relationships or friendships; are facing big life changes; or just want to learn new skills to feel stronger.

We follow HIPAA rules and Florida laws to protect your privacy. All records are stored securely, and what you share stays between you and your counselor unless you give written permission, or the law requires otherwise.

At your first visit, your counselor will orient you to the counseling process. You'll discuss your current concerns/challenges and will set goals together, as well as set a date for future sessions.
